aquatic exercise equipment for legs

Choosing Your Equipment

To help you choose the best drag resistance equipment or bundle to suit your needs, have a look at the options and videos below. Many customers enjoy the ability to switch between resistance levels either on different training days or even between different exercises/sets. Given the same amount of input or intensity from the user, the lower the resistance the bell or fin, the faster they will move through the water compared to the higher resistance pieces. If you are used to lighter weights and higher reps the Medium Resistance is likely a great versatile option. Otherwise, if you prefer more resistance at any given tempo or heavier lower reps, then the maximum resistance equipment is a good choice. Remember the overall resistance of our aquatic exercise equipment will be determined by your strength level and tempo of your movement.

We are the global leader in resistive pool exercise equipment and have a range of different equipment and training bundles, including specialty program and equipment bundles available. You can find our basic training programming and demo videos for free on our Free Programs Page.

Upper Body Bells

You can choose between 5 different Upper Body Bells. Depending on your fitness goals and workout style, you may wish to choose a couple of levels of options to vary the levels of intensity throughout your training. The low and medium resistance are great for functional movements or higher speed HIIT style training. The higher resistance bells can work for those moving at slower paces, focusing on core muscle groups or wanting “heavy” resistance when their input intensity is increased.

Learn more about the range of upper body drag bells by Aqualogix. Three different resistance levels are available to develop the perfect pool fitness routine.

Aqualogix Low Resistance “High Speed” Bells: Ideal for those focused on rehab, recovery or speed work

The Aqualogix Low Resistance “High Speed” Bells are perfect for those just starting out on their fitness journey, or for those looking to do a lot of recovery or high-speed work. They provide the least amount of resistance allowing the user to do fast upper body movements, igniting the small fast twitch muscles for explosive power and speed.

Aqualogix Medium Resistance “All Purpose” Bells: Ideal for those focused on general fitness

The Aqualogix Medium Resistance “All Purpose” Bells are a popular option for those focusing on general fitness. They provide slightly more resistance than the Low Resistance “High Speed” Bells and a good for those wanting more of an emphasis on cardio and core strength, however, are also good for fast tempo sets and HIIT style training.

Aquastrength Upper Body Bells: Ideal for those focused on strength and core training

The Aquastrength Upper Body Bells (both blue and pink options are the same resistance) are considered All-Purpose Resistance similar to the Aqualogix Medium Resistance Bell. The Aquastrength Bells provide a bit more resistance than the Aqualogix All Purpose Bells in linear movements (like push/pull). Their unique open handle design makes them ideal for hand over hand and core focused movements. Some also like the larger diameter smooth grip of the Aquastrength Bells.

Aqualogix High Resistance Bells: Ideal for those focused on strength and power training

The Aqualogix High Resistance Bells are typically used to develop power and strength. They are often the choice amongst more experienced users who are primarily focused on strength and endurance. Also popular with users that only move at slow tempos.

Hydro-Tone Hydro-Bells: The Original Relaunched

Hydro-Bells are a yellow hydrodynamic bell with three-dimensional configurations designed to enhance and take advantage of the total resistance field of water. Bells can be rotated 90 degrees to change the resistance from medium to maximum by changing the drag surface area. While they maybe not as maneuverable as some of our more compact bells, these sure do pack a punch for linear movements, strength training and muscle toning/development.

Lower Body Fins

You can choose between 4 different Fin Options. Depending on your fitness goals you may wish to choose a couple of levels of resistance to vary the intensity of your training. The low and medium resistance are great for functional movements or higher speed HIIT style training. The higher resistance bells can work for those moving at slower paces, focusing on core muscle groups or wanting “heavy” resistance when their input intensity is increased. These fins can also be worn on your wrist or forearm with or without the bells for (hands-fee) resistance training. An example of wearing the medium resistance fins on your wrist while holding a medium bell, would provide similar resistance to a maximum resistance bell by itself.

These are very popular to add resistance and drag for swimmers developing kick power and speed. Each strap has (4) 4″ fins.

Aqualogix Medium Resistance “All-Purpose” Fins: Ideal for those focused on combining strength training and high-speed cardio/HIIT

The Medium Resistance “All Purpose” Hybrid Fin is the newest addition to our line of functional aquatic resistance equipment.  The All Purpose Fins provide a great balance of good resistance for knee hinge movements and also long lever hip articulation. Aqualogix High Resistance Fins: Ideal for those focused on strength training

The Aqualogix High Resistance Fins provide a high level of resistance making them great for those focused on strength, power and endurance. Designed to provide resistance in all directions, they can be rotated to provide more focused resistance in any desired direction. Each strap has (4) 6″ fins.
